WHAT WE DO

Capturing personalities… big and small!

Process

At LHBurke Art our mission is to celebrate those in our lives who bring us joy. Translating the temperament of each pet or person into the language of art, we bring those special faces to life on paper using colors, lines and textures.

We will help you select a photograph that has the best potential for success and use it to hand create a unique piece of art depicting your special person. We work with watercolor pencils and watercolors on the highest quality cold-pressed paper. Our most popular portraits are 12” x 9” and begin at $300. We work out of beautiful Rhode Island, USA!

Reviews

Loved working with Lauren to have my artwork of my son done for Christmas. She was so pleasant and professional to work with. Lauren helped us determine what picture would work best, updated us on throughout the process and even helped with what frame design would look best. I was blown away with each update we received and just amazed with the final piece!!! I will definitely use her again - she is so talented!

During the holiday season, we decided to commission Ms. Lauren H. Burke of LHBurke Art to create two individual portraits of our grandchildren, Anna and Ben. After discussing the logistical details, Ms. Burke spent considerable time selecting the “best” photos that exemplified their own individual personalities. We agreed on several photos that we would be happy with but left the final decision with the “artiste”.

Ms. Burke communicated frequently during the creative process and sent via email/text the “work in progress” status of the commissioned work. She was interested in our feedback and took our suggestions into consideration.

Ultimately, her portraits were a “snapshot” of Anna and Ben at their respective ages 4 and 3 years old. We were very happy with the portraits but even more impressed with the excellent communication and “customer service” throughout the process.

Thanks Lauren!
